How to stand out

Anyone can be a general transcriber, and there are many out there. Being a regular transcriber in today’s market is very competitive. You need to be ahead of the competition, and becoming a specialized transcriber will help you achieve that! If you enjoy the movie and TV world, this course is designed for you!

A Combined Continuity And Spotting List is used in post-production for multiple purposes, and they are assigned to specially trained transcribers with a passion for accuracy. The more formats you master, the more job opportunities you’ll be offered. Combined Continuity And Spotting Lists are the higher-paying jobs in the transcription industry due to the structure and amount of detail involved.

DT Academy has been in business for almost two decades and is still going strong. We know what it takes to be an exceptional CCSL transcriber and will teach you the ins and outs of being one.

We will help you achieve your goals by applying to specialized transcription companies.

This course is designed to help you:

  • Learn about working and making an income as a specialized transcriptionist

  • Start your career as a specialized transcriber seeing what companies have to offer and how to apply with them

Produce specialized transcripts

More advanced transcriptions require special training due to the nature of those transcriptions. Being a general transcriber and a CCSL transcriber are two very different things. A Combined Continuity And Spotting List requires more attention to detail than a regular transcription. There are a lot more elements that need to be taken into consideration when building one. Knowing these elements and how they come into play within a CCSL distinguishes you as a professional and more advanced transcriptionist. Creating a CCSL takes work. It is very challenging, but adding this skillset will also increase the type of jobs you can take on and the amount you can earn. The pay rate is four or five times more than what a regular transcription would pay.
